For as long as I can remember, stories have lived not just in books — but in voice and art. In a bedtime story, read (or made up) by my siblings. In a song my mother sang. And in hours of conversations, exploring the world and ideas, sharing stories, memories, and poetry passed down from generation to generation. Voice has always been the bridge between what we write and what we remember.
So today, I’m thrilled to introduce something that’s been quietly in the works for months:
True Voice Shorts — a curated audio series celebrating short fiction, memoir, reimagined classics, and timeless truths.
Each episode brings a story to life through enhanced audio — rich narration, subtle sound design, and an intimacy that only voice can offer. The goal? To honor the rhythm of language, the legacy of storytelling, and the deep human need to listen.
What is True Voice Shorts?
True Voice Shorts is made up of five rotating themes:
- Gentle Magic — quiet fantasy, wonder, and whimsy
- True Voice Reflections — memoir and memory
- Whispers of Forgotten Women — untold or overlooked stories
- Modern Fables for Grown-Ups — reimagined tales with a wink
- Memories in Ink — poetic, nostalgic, or rooted in place
Some stories are adapted from the public domain. Others are original or reimagined. All are chosen for their resonance — and their ability to carry meaning in just a few short minutes.

What to Expect
Starting in August 2025, we’ll publish:

Each story offers a rich listening experience, with thoughtful narration and subtle sound design. Many are paired with reflection prompts or creative insights shared along the way.
